CBT Therapy
Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) is a structured evidence-based talking therapy that helps you understand the connection between your thoughts, emotions, behaviours, and physical responses.
Together, these patterns can shape how you experience yourself, your relationships, and the world around you. Sometimes they can become unhelpful, contributing to difficulties such as anxiety, depression, self-criticism, or avoidance.
CBT helps you recognise these patterns, understand how they developed, and learn practical ways to respond differently. Alongside developing effective coping strategies, CBT can help you build greater self-awareness, resilience, and confidence, supporting meaningful and lasting change.
CBT is one of the most widely researched psychological therapies and is recommended as a first-line treatment by the National Institute for Health & Care Excellence (NICE) for a range of difficulties, including anxiety disorders, depression, OCD, PTSD, panic disorder, and social anxiety.
Ultimately, CBT is about more than reducing distress. It is about helping people develop insight into their experiences, reconnect with what matters to them, and build greater flexibility, resilience, and confidence in living their lives.

Areas of Clinical Focus
Anxiety
Anxiety can leave you feeling trapped by worry, uncertainty, or fear. Together, we'll explore not only the patterns that maintain anxiety but also how it may be shaping the way you live your life. Therapy aims to help you move towards greater confidence, freedom, and engagement with what matters most to you.
Depression & Low Mood
Depression can affect how you see yourself, others, and the future, leaving life feeling empty, disconnected or meaningless. Together, we'll work towards understanding these patterns, and reconnecting with your values, strengths, and sense of purpose.
Trauma & PTSD
Traumatic experiences can change the way we experience ourselves, other people, and the world around us. Therapy provides a safe space to process these experiences, make sense of their impact, and support you in reclaiming and rebuilding your life, while moving forward at your own pace.

Getting Started
Taking the first step towards therapy can feel like a big decision. To help you decide whether CBT and my approach are right for you, I offer a free 15-minute initial conversation. This is an opportunity to ask any questions you may have, discuss what has brought you to therapy, and learn more about how I work.
If we decide that working together feels like a good fit, the next step is a 90-minute initial assessment. This provides dedicated time to explore your difficulties in more depth, understand your experiences, and identify your goals for therapy. If we decide to continue, we will agree on the length of therapy and discuss the therapeutic agreement.
